A little while back we shipped faster ways to fill the week — due for rotation, copy last week, special nights, multi-select, and CSV import. Here’s what landed since then — on the web and in the Android closed test.
Shopping staples
Milk, eggs, coffee — the stuff you buy every week whether it’s on the plan or not.
Manage a household staples template, then tap Add staples to list when you want them on the shopping list. Nothing auto-seeds; you stay in control. Works on web and the apps.
My Rotation (not “My Meal Pack”)
Your household library has a clearer name: My Rotation. Same meals, same workflow — just language that matches what OnRotation is actually about.
Off-rotation meals
Need something on the plan that isn’t in My Rotation? Add it anyway. It still feeds the shopping list, and you can promote it into My Rotation later when it earns a spot.
Plan polish
- Print the week’s menu for the fridge (browser print + print stylesheet).
- Stable week navigation — prev/next stay put so the UI doesn’t jump around.
- Picker autofocus + double-click — search focuses when you open the picker; double-click adds a meal immediately.
- Auto-mark prior days — planned meals from yesterday get marked as made so rotation history stays accurate without busywork.
Try it on Android
These updates are live in the Android closed test too. If you want the phone version in your kitchen, request access — we’ll send an invite when there’s a spot. You can also get on the list for iOS while you’re there(we are getting pretty dang close).
What’s next
We’re still thinking about empty-day rescue (“what’s for tonight?”), recipe URL → meal draft, and deeper pantry/shopping flows. If something above is missing a sharp edge — or you have a wishlist — use Feedback in the app. We read it.
Thanks for cooking with us.
