Filling the week just got faster

We’ve been focused on one annoying part of meal planning: getting from an empty week to a plan you actually want to cook. Here’s what’s new in OnRotation — on web, Android, and iOS.

Due for rotation

Your meal pack already knows what you’ve cooked. Now the meal picker surfaces meals that are due for rotation — the ones you like that haven’t been around in a while.

When you’re staring at a blank Thursday, start there instead of scrolling the whole list.

Copy last week

Had a good week? Copy last week pulls that plan forward so you can tweak instead of rebuild.

Entries come along for the ride, including special nights. If the week already has meals, you’ll get a chance to confirm before replacing them.

Special nights (not every day needs a recipe)

Some nights aren’t a named meal from your pack — and that’s fine. You can now plan:

  • Leftovers
  • Free for all
  • Takeout

They show up on the week like regular entries, so the plan still tells the household what’s going on without forcing a fake recipe into the library.

Add several meals at once

In the meal picker, turn on multi-select, tap the meals you want, then Add N meals. Special nights stay one-tap — you don’t need a multi-step flow for leftovers.

Import your meal pack from CSV

Building a library one meal at a time is slow if you already have a list elsewhere (a spreadsheet, ChatGPT, Grok, etc.).

On the Meals screen, open Import CSV, paste your rows, and we’ll add them to your household meal pack. Duplicate names are skipped so you don’t get doubles.

There’s a Copy format button with the exact column layout — handy to paste into an AI tool when you want it to spit out a ready-to-import list.

Example (one meal):

name,url,notes,main_ingredients,extras,tags,difficulty
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce,,Can make sauce ahead,"Ground beef; spaghetti; marinara",Parmesan,Pasta; Italian,Easy

That’s it

Less blank-week paralysis, fewer one-by-one taps, and a faster way to fill your meal pack.

If something feels off — or there’s a planning friction we haven’t hit yet — reply from Feedback in the app. We’re listening.
