The shopping list was always meant for the store. Shop mode is the version that behaves like it.

Tap Shop on your shopping list (web, Android, or iOS) and the extra chrome gets out of the way: update-from-plan, staples, add-item, and all the little edit controls. What’s left is bigger checkboxes, bigger type, and a screen that stays awake so it doesn’t go dark while you’re comparing yogurt brands.

How to try it

Open Shopping List.
Tap Shop.
Check things off as you walk the aisles.
Tap Done shopping when you’re back at the car (or the couch).

That’s it. Shop mode is just a view of the same household list — checks still sync, and nothing gets deleted. When you exit, all the usual list tools come back.

Built for one-handed grocery runs

We hid the management stuff on purpose. In the store you don’t need to add a staple or rename a category. You need to see ground beef, tap it, and keep moving.

Bigger tap targets help when you’ve got a cart handle in the other hand. Keeping the screen awake means you aren’t unlocking your phone between Produce and Dairy.

What it isn’t (yet)

Shop mode doesn’t know who’s shopping, and it doesn’t remember that you were in it last time — each trip starts with a tap. If you need to add a forgotten item, exit, add it, and hop back in.
